Hi Home

This project reinterprets the wind chime, Korean 풍경. The aim is to symbolise arrival and security. Many people today live far away from their families and birthplaces. For these people, the flat becomes a home in a strange place. The sound of the wind chime is a sound of arrival. It is a reminder of origin and home. The project emphasises how important and difficult arriving is for many people today.

What's the first thing you do when you get home? Take off your shoes? Turn on the lights? The first thing I say is "Hi Home".
